Our Story
ACUPARI – Peruvian-German Cultural Association of the Inca Region – is a non-profit cultural organization with its own language school in the heart of Cusco. Since 1990, we have been promoting intercultural exchange between Peru and the German-speaking world.
Welcome to a place where language, culture, and people come together in a special way!

What we teach
Our language school offers courses in Spanish, Quechua, and German. A special feature is our tandem program, which directly connects international and Peruvian language learners. This creates genuine intercultural encounters – authentic, lively, and lasting.
Intensive and standard courses with experienced native Peruvian teachers.
One of the oldest living languages of the Andes, taught where it is still spoken.
Courses for young Peruvians, many of them working in tourism and culturally open-minded.
International and Peruvian learners paired directly — the encounter is the method.
Who we are
An officially recognized institution, run by people with decades of experience in language teaching and cultural work.
As a partner institution of the Goethe-Institut Lima, we are officially recognized and recommended by the German Embassy in Lima and the German Federal Foreign Office.
The dedicated ACUPARI team brings together many years of experience in language teaching, cultural work, and consular support. The leadership team includes, among others, the Honorary Consuls of Germany and Austria in Cusco.
In addition to language instruction, we regularly organize cultural activities and support schools in rural Andean regions through our children’s book project – promoting reading and cultural participation.

Every language course at ACUPARI helps fund our children’s book project “Books for 70 Schools in the Andes.”
